In order to organize better your free time and evenings during your vacation in Salento in June here are festivals, fairs, feasts and shows:

Borgoinfesta, from May 31 to June 2. The eco-cultural festival in Borgagne, created by around three hundred volunteers of Ngracalati. This year the theme of Borgoinfesta is “Mediterranean Roots”, those related to culture, traditions, gastronomy, monumental trees, music, dance, arts, crafts, theater, cooking, solidarity.  From May 31 to June 2, the square of St. Anthony in Borgagne, completely restored, will be the heart of the party. The Church Chiesa Madre and the Clock Tower , reborn with the fresco of St. Anthony, will be the splendid frame for musicians and dancers in the common search for an emotional involvement.

June 2, Antiques Market in Otranto. Exhibition of antique objects, object of hobbies and collecting. Address: Embankment of Heroes (Lungomare degli Eroi), from 8 am to sunset.

2 to 3 June the Cherry Festival in Conversano with the stands of cherries ready for tasting and demonstrations of the realization of traditional baskets made of cherry wood. There will be also the stands with typical products and the best local wines.

Negroamaro Wine Festival in Brindisi from 7th to 11th of June. Lots of new, unmissable events and good music: once again on the scene of Brindisi there are the best local food and wine: 100 stands, 5 wine bars, over 10,000 square meters of exhibition space in the heart of the city with a scenic route and 5 stages for live concerts.

June 8 -11, Racale – Festival of St. Sebastian. Racale and its inhabitants are devoted to Saint Sebastian since the fifteenth century. By tradition it was he who eradicated plague that struck Racale, so its citizens erected a church in honor of the saint. This church no longer exists anyway, but it’s still a trace of the veneration of this saint, in fact, every year it is celebrated for three days. The religious celebration is accompanied by the Festival of San Sebastian with the market of products of various kinds, especially the cattle market, and agricultural tools.

11, 12 and 13 June in Depressa (Tricase),  the celebration of the Feast of St. Anthony. The 11th is the eve of the feast and the organizing committee prepares for the evening team games for those who want to take part at the beginning of this festival. The second day of the Feast of Saint Anthony in Tricase is religious celebration, and the third day is dedicated to the music of the band concerts. The feast of St. Anthony comes to an end with the firework show in the sky of Tricase (see video).

June 13 Feast of St. Anthony of Padua in Soleto. Civil and religious celebrations, there are games, music and fireworks with the launch of the hot air balloons in the sky, in honor of Saint Anthony of Padua.

Every year on June 21 the Feast of San Luigi takes place in Presicce.

From 21 to 23 June, in Lequile there is the Feast of San Vito.

21,22,23 of June in Calimera, the heart of Grecia Salentina, the Feast of San Luigi and Street Lamps (Lampioni) and …de lu Cuturùsciu. It is a very colorful festival called the Feast of the Street Lamps. The lamps of various forms are constructed, some of them may reach the considerable dimensions. During the days of the feast in Calimera these light sculptures are hung in the streets of the historic center, creating a wonderful atmosphere, enlivened by the ever-present traditional music, pizzica, which is sung and played with tambourine and danced in the party. During the Feast of of San Luigi and Street Lamps in Calimera there are also stands with typical products of Salento, especially one traditional local product, Lu Cuturusciù, ie a soft tarallo, made from dough bread, topped with olive oil and pepper and then baked. This product has been awarded this year’s recognition of typical product, visitors of the festival will be able to follow all the steps of preparation of cuturùsci, and savor it freshly baked.

Ostuni June 23, the feast of San Giovanni. An ancestral rite, which recalls the ancient pagan traditions of solsticial days. Representations that trace the major themes of magic, superstition and mystery. You can not miss the charm of these ancient rites, which are theatrically performed in the picturesque setting of the old town of Ostuni. Possessed musicians, dancing entities, torchlight, Sabbath of local artisans, witches aboard their scopes, for sure you will not be bored. The delights for a mouth will be snails, and the local wine will be a potion. You will have all the ingredients for a truly magical evening.

June 28 to 30 in Galatina, the famous Feast of St. Peter and Paul (Festa di San Pietro e Paolo), with the traditional rite of tarantulas. Galatina is flooded by sounds, music and colors, and welcomes multitudes of people who come to attend this celebration.

28 to 30 June, Feast of Saints Peter and Paul in Otranto, the Association Hydro organizes Festival of Historic Centre – the charming Borgo Antico of Otranto with a series of events to experience, all full of fun, gastronomy and culture. June 28 to 29: stands of local products and crafts (Porta Terra), photographic and painting exhibitions, stands with typical meals like horse meat, pittule, wine, watermelon and many other surprises (Piazza del Popolo), from 20:00 concerts in the square Piazza del Popolo and near Porta Terra. June 30 from 20:30 theatrical representation in the vernacular “The Fortune with a capital F”  by the group LA PALUMBARA directed by Enrico Risolo (Porta Terra)

Every year on June 29 in Tricase there is the Fair of Saints Peter and Paul. Food stands and music accompany the whole development of this festival, with the presence of the typical cattle market.

Для того, чтобы лучше организовать свое свободное время и вечера во время Вашего отпуска в Саленто в июне, для Вашего внимания здесь есть фестивали, ярмарки, празднования и шоу, которые проходят в июне:

Borgoinfesta, с 31 мая по 2 июня. Эко-культурный фестиваль в Borgagne, созданный около 300 волонтерами Ngracalati. В этом году темой Borgoinfesta является “средиземноморские корни”, связанные с культурой, традициями, гастрономией, монументальными деревьями, музыкой, танцами, искусством, ремеслом, театром, кулинарией, солидарностью. С 31 мая по 2 июня, полностью восстановленая площадь Св. Антонио в Borgagne будет сердцем вечеринки. Церковь Chiesa Madre и Часовая башня, возрожденная фреской святого Антонио, будут великолепным обрамлением для музыкантов и танцоров в общем стремлении к эмоциональной вовлеченности.

2 июня Рынок Антиквариата в Отранто. Выставка старинных объектов, объектов хобби и коллекционирования. Адрес: Набережная Героев (Lungomare degli Eroi), с 8 утра до заката.

2 по 3 июня Вишневый фестиваль в Конверсано со стендами вишни готовой к дегустации и демонстрацией плетения традиционных корзин из вишневого дерева. Там будут также стенды с типичными продуктами и лучшими местными винами.

Винный фестиваль Negroamaro в Бриндизи с 7 по 11 июня. Не пропустите это событие: хорошая музыка и лучшие местные блюда и вина: 100 стендов, 5 винных баров, более 10000 кв м выставочной площади в центре города с живописным маршрутом и 5 сцен для концертов живой музыки.

8 – 11 июня Racale – фестиваль Святого Себастьяна. Racale и его жители преданы Святому Себастьяну, начиная с пятнадцатого века. По традиции именно он искоренил чуму, которая поразила город Racale, поэтому его граждане воздвинули храм в честь святого. Эта церковь больше не существует, но каждый год данный праздник отмечается в течение трех дней. Религиозный праздник сопровождается рынком продуктов всех видов, особенно рынком скота и сельскохозяйственных инструментов.

11, 12 и 13 июня в Depressa (Tricase), празднование Праздника Святого Антонио. 11-го июня оргкомитет готовит к вечеру командные игры для тех, кто хочет принять участие в начале этого фестиваля. Второй день праздника святого Антонио в Tricase это религиозное празднование, и третий день посвящен концертам музыкальных групп. Праздник Святого Антонио заканчивается с шоу фейерверков в небе Tricase (см. видео).

13 июня Праздник святого Антонио Падуанского в Soleto. Гражданский и религиозный праздник, во время которого проходят игры, музыка и фейерверки с запуском воздушных шаров в небо, в честь святого Антонио Падуанского.

Каждый год 21 июня Праздник Сан Луиджи проходит в Presicce.

С 21 по 23 июня в Lequile Праздник Сан Вито.

21,22,23 июня в Calimera, сердце Греческого Саленто (Grecia Salentina), праздник Сан Луиджи и уличных фонарей (Lampioni) и … de lu Cuturùsciu. Это очень красочный фестиваль под названием Праздника фонарей. Делаются лампы различных форм, некоторые из них могут достигать значительных размеров. В дни праздника в Calimera эти световые скульптуры вешают на улицах исторического центра города, что создает великолепную атмосферу, оживленную также традиционной музыкой и танцами, Pizzica, которая поется, играется с бубном и танцуется во время празднования. Во время праздника Сан-Луиджи и уличных фонарей в Calimera есть также стенды с типичными продуктами Саленто, особенно один традиционный местный продукт, Lu Cuturusciù, то есть мягкие Tarallo, сделанные из теста хлеба, с оливковым маслом и перцем, а затем запеченные. Этот продукт был удостоен признания в этом году типичного продукта, посетители фестиваля смогут проследить все шаги приготовления Cuturusciù, и попробовать его свежеиспеченным.

Остуни 23 июня, праздник Сан-Джованни. Древний обряд, который напоминает древние языческие традиции дней солнцестояния. Представления, которые прослеживают основные темы магии, суеверий и тайн. Не пропустите очарование этих древних обрядов, которые театрально выполняются в живописном месте старого города Остуни. Одержимые музыканты, танцующие существа, факелы, шабаш местных ремесленников, ведьмы на борту их метл, наверняка Вам не будет скучно. Усладой будут улитки, и вино местного производства будет зельем. У Вас будут все ингредиенты для поистине волшебного вечера.

28 по 30 июня в Галатина, знаменитый Праздник Святого Петра и Павла (Феста ди Сан-Пьетро-э-Паоло), с традиционным обрядом тарантул. Galatina наполняется звуками, музыкой и цветами, и приветствует множество людей, которые приезжают для участия в этом празднике.

28 по 30 июня, праздник святых Петра и Павла в Отранто, Ассоциация Гидро организует фестиваль исторического центра – очаровательный Borgo Antico Отранто с серией мероприятий, полных веселья, гастрономии и культуры. 28 июня по 29: стенды местных продуктов и ремесла (Porta Terra), фото- и художественные выставки, стенды с типичными блюдами, такими как конина, pittule, вино, арбузы и много других сюрпризов (Пьяцца дель Пополо), с 20:00 концерты на площади Пьяцца дель Пополо и около Porta Terra. 30 июня с 20:30 театральное представление на диалекте “Фортуна с большой буквы Ф” группы LA PALUMBARA режиссера Энрико Ризоло (Porta Terra)

Каждый год 29 июня в Tricase есть ярмарка Святых Петра и Павла. Стенды с едой и музыка сопровождают все развитие этого фестиваля, с наличием типичного рынка крупного рогатого скота.
