Castro in Jazz

Here are some photos and videos from the event Castro in Jazz, magic atmosphere thanks to Jazz&Wine in central square of historic centre of Castro, with amazing panoramas, big full moon, beautiful and divine jazz music concert of Dario Congedo (drums), Luca Alemanno (contrabass and electric bass), Valerio Daniele (acoustic and electric guitar), Giorgio Distante (trumpet) and Francesco Massaro (baritone sax and clarinet).

Now I am looking forward to going to Otranto Jazz Festival this weekend, 26-28 of July, don’t miss it!!!

Punta della Suina, Gallipoli beach / пляж Галлиполи

Punta della Suina is located near Gallipoli, between Picador beach and Lido Pizzo beach areas. The beach itself has the sandy parts and rocky parts, and the mixture of sand and rocks. There is also a pinewood near the beach, where you can relax and refresh from the hot sun. The beach is famous for the turquoise color of water, it is also possible to see Gallipoli itself, its old town and St.Andrea island from the beach.

Fantastic Ostuni / Потрясающий Остуни

Ostuni is called Citta Bianca (white city), as everything in its historical centre is painted in white color, the city walls, the buildings, the stairs, the monuments… Ostuni is a panoramic city, as it is situated up on the hill, so be prepared to walk up and down the streets of Ostuni when you visit this wonderful city. Ostuni has received Blue Flag from 2008 to 2013, and five sails (le cinque vele) of Legambiente (an Italian environmentalist association with roots in the anti-nuclear movement) for the cleanness of the water of its coast and for the quality of the services offered.

Protected marine reserve Torre Guaceto / Охраняемый морской заповедник Торре Гуачето

Torre Guaceto is a protected marine area in a nature reserve, which is situated in the province of Brindisi on Adriatic coast. To arrive there we took the exit Torre Guaceto – Punta Penna Grossa from the highway SS379 Bari-Brindisi, and arrived to the parking area, from where the tourist train took us to the beach area.

Wines of Salento / Вина Саленто

Wines of Salento and Apulia are among the best ones in Italy, and as I’ve mentioned here Apulia has been chosen as one of the top ten wine destinations in the world in 2013. And you can feel it immediately when you come to Salento, as you can see so many vineyards everywhere, there is a winery almost in every town of Salento, and also almost every second family produces wine (really good one) at home for their pleasure as a hobby, almost all the masserias have their own wine, and also many restaurants offer homemade wine (vino della casa).

22nd of June the event ‘Masserie sotto le stelle’ (masserias under the stars) took place in didactic masserias of Salento and Puglia, and we chose Masseria Santa Lucia (Alessano, province of Lecce) from the list of masserias proposed.
